BJJ Spats for Comfort, Compression, and Mat Protection

BJJ spats, also called grappling tights or compression pants, are designed for Jiu-Jitsu grappling & training. They protect the legs from mat burns, skin abrasions, and bacterial exposure while maintaining compression and flexibility throughout movement. Practitioners wear spats either alone during No-Gi sessions or under the Gi for added hygiene and muscle support during long rolls. Infinitude Fight BJJ tights are made from moisture-wicking polyester–spandex blends that provide a second-skin fit and freedom of motion. The four-way stretch fabric supports blood circulation, helping muscles stay warm and reducing fatigue during sparring.

Flatlock stitching prevents irritation and tearing, while the anti-slip waistband keeps the spats securely in place during transitions and guard work. Each design features sublimated graphics that remain vibrant without peeling or fading through repeated washes, making them both functional and visually appealing. Infinitude Fight tests every pair in real training environments to ensure they maintain compression, breathability, and durability for practitioners of all levels.

Finding the Right Fit and Compression Level for BJJ Spats

Spats should feel tight enough to support muscles and prevent fabric shifting but not so restrictive that they limit hip or knee movement during grappling. The waistband must stay secure through takedowns and scrambles to prevent sliding while maintaining comfort.

Follow true athletic measurements at the waist, hips, and inseam when choosing your size. Most tights use a compression-fit scale, where medium compression is ideal for everyday training, and high compression suits competition or recovery sessions. Choose full-length spats for No-Gi training that cover the ankles to minimize mat contact, while shorter length versions are suitable for mixed conditioning workouts. Infinitude Fight’s sizing chart helps athletes find the right compression balance based on body type and training intensity.
